GET TO KNOW EVERESTIANS

LE BAO NGOC
10/2018 – 12/2019: HR Recruitment & Employee Relations Specialist
01/2020 – present : Senior HR Executive
Ngoc graduated from Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City. After graduation, she wanted to pursue an HR career path, so she started her career as a Headhunter for 2 years. She joined E2 at the end of 2018 as an HR Recruitment Specialist, and took over Employee Relations after her first 4 months being an Everestian.

Share your background: Where did you grow up? Where did you go to university and what did you study?
I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh city, but my parents both come from the Middle of Vietnam. I graduated from Foreign Trade University, major in International Business Economics.

What is your favorite and least favorite Vietnamese food?
I love to eat mi Quang, especially my mom-made version. I don’t like all things related to mam (too smelly and salty!), except for nuoc mam.

What was the biggest factor that made you choose E2?
I heard about E2 a long time ago but never had a chance to learn more about it. When I was between jobs, Vi, my used-to-be and soon-to-be colleague at that time, told me about the opening HR position, and it matched perfectly with my expectation. One of the biggest changes in my life, and I never regretted since then.

Can you describe E2’s working environment in 3 words?
Young, Innovative, High-school-y

What is the most helpful thing you’ve learned at E2?
I’ve learned that I have to step out of my comfort zone and try something even when I’m scared of failing. Because when I’m scared, I’m learning new things.

What is your most memorable NON-teaching moment at E2? PG version, please.
When I found out that one of our colleagues had a special talent of laughing non-stop for like 5 minutes. At that time we were having a team dinner at a Japanese restaurant.

What are you most looking forward to or optimistic about when it comes to your own future at E2 or E2’s future in general?
I am and will be given many opportunities to try and grow as an HR person.

Bonus Question: If you had to be stuck on a desert island with 1 member of E2 staff (teaching or operations team) who would it be? Why?
Truc. ‘Coz she always claims to be the most grown-up person among us kids so she might have to take care of me 😛 Oh, and she’s funny, too.
